OmeaLife

The OmeaLife Foundation was established in 2016 in Gdańsk by a group of young women who are breast cancer survivors and operates under the motto “Breast cancer doesn’t limit you.” Its mission is to improve the quality of life and treatment for people affected by breast cancer — particularly young women — through cancer education, prevention promotion, patient advocacy, and support for a healthy lifestyle.

The Foundation runs Poland’s first Breast Cancer Knowledge Center in Gdańsk, where patients and their families can access medical consultations, psychological support, workshops, and reliable information both online and on-site.

Work in the project

OmeaLife Foundation contributes to the TRACE project as a patient-driven organisation representing the voices and needs of breast cancer patients and at-risk populations in Poland and beyond. The foundation supports the creation and engagement of regional cancer ecosystems by linking academic research with real community experiences. OmeaLife leads public awareness campaigns and co-develops the Cancer Literacy Toolkit, ensuring that education and prevention activities are inclusive, accessible, and relevant across Europe. Through collaboration with GUMED and international partners, OmeaLife strengthens citizen participation in cancer prevention, early detection, and patient education.
